Ugh ok so apparently I did something some long time ago and made the email key to change into opening up a new browser/window.

I don’t remember how I did that… and I kinda want to change it back to mail. Can someone help me? I don’t want to mess up my pc :(

Hi, thanks a lot for the tips, worked a treat on my CQ56. Used the Registry tip and deleted all the settings under AppKey, which sorted them all out, except for the worst one – the Power DVD software which kept coming up when trying to press the TAB key. Fix for this was to rename the directory Cyberlink to “xxx Cyberlink”.
Terrible design decision to place the is keys on the left hand side, but there you go – other than that, the CQ56 has been excellent.

epic poster, go in the bios and disable the setting so that you will always need FN and F12 to toggle wifi instead of just the F12 key, so simple someone already metioned in here guess u were not listenning

Another way to achieve this (remapping keys) is through KeyTweak
(freeware) which directly updates the relevant registry key with an
user-friendly UI and doesn’t run in the system tray. Here as well,
“printer key sends 2 key messages, for Ctrl and P. If you remap these keys, you will also remap the normal Ctrl and P. It’s best to leave this key alone.” as M. Helenek pointed out earlier.

I installed InfraRecorder program, deleting the preinstalled CyberDVD program. I would like to assign that wave key to shortcut to InfraRecorder. Help please.
